Biography
Dr. Sohail Merchant is a dedicated Family Medicine physician providing full-spectrum care to patients of all ages, from infants to adults, encompassing everything from routine checkups to aesthetic services. He practices alongside his father in their multigenerational clinic, blending traditional family values with innovative approaches to healthcare. Dr. Merchant joined the practice in August 2023.
He earned his medical degree from the American University of Antigua and completed his Family Medicine residency at Firelands Regional Medical Center in Sandusky, Ohio, where he distinguished himself by serving as Chief Resident. His clinical interests are diverse, including pediatrics, urgent care, dermatology, allergy, preventive care, and aesthetics. Dr. Merchant is also a leader in the integration of artificial intelligence and digital health tools into medical practice, passionate about building smarter, more accessible systems to enhance both patient and provider experiences. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he co-authored “Health.AI,” a resource aimed at bridging artificial intelligence with everyday healthcare. He continues this mission by creating weekly educational content on YouTube, simplifying complex health topics for patients and their families.
Inspired by his motherās work in aesthetic medicine and his fatherās unwavering dedication to the community, Dr. Merchant embraces a team-based, relational approach to care.
